Here are some questions to ask your DJ or MC
This checklist is provided for you as a guideline.

Before the Event

Do you provide a detailed itinerary?

Do you provide professional-grade equipment?

Do you provide back-up equipment?

Do you use modern CD systems?

Is your equipment presented in a nice manner free from

advertisements (often used to promote the DJ's company)?

Are additional lighting and effects available?

Is there a variety of music available?

Can we provide you with a play-list as well as a “do not play” list?

Do we receive a signed contract at the time the deposit is made?

Is the DJ committed to arriving ahead of time?

Is the set-up done at least one hour before the function begins?

During the Event

Are guests encouraged to make music requests?

Are your DJs also professional MCs?

Will you ensure that requests made by honored guests (such as bride and groom) are given priority?

Do your DJs offer interactive use of music to promote dancing?

Will the music be played at appropriate volume levels (not too loud or intrusive)?

Will you play a variety of music to suit all attendees throughout the event?
